News from the Irish Museums sector

banner-news.jpg

Part of our remit as the main resource for professionals in the museums sector across Ireland is to share infomation on developments, providing a communications channel for the museum community and those seeking information on museum practice.

Through the dissemination of national and international developments in museum practice and standards we aim to provide a platform for debate and advocacy through shared expertise and knowledge.

You can send us your news for inclusion on the IMA website via the 'Submit news' link in the sidebar. News items received before the end of each month will be circulated in the following month’s e-bulletin.

Please note that news items must be aimed at a professional museum audience rather than public exhibitions or events aimed at the wider public. We may publish news items related to reports and publications directly under our 'resources' section.
