Events from the Irish Museums sector

We share information on events that seek to explore museum development and support museum staff’s continued professional development. 

You can send us details of any events in your programming that are aimed at a professional museum audience by clicking on the 'Submit event' link in the sidebar menu. Events received before the end of each month will be circulated in the following month’s e-bulletin.

Please note that we do not publish information on exhibitions or events aimed at the wider public but rather peer-to-peer opportunities and exchanges.

    We aim to foster a welcoming, professional and productive environment at all events held by the Irish Museums Association, including those organised in collaboration with partners and held in locations not managed by the Irish Museums Association. 

    To assist us in achieving this, please see our guidelines for delegates attending or booking a place at our events.

  • IMA event registration for members

    IMA members can register for our events via their membership accounts once logged in to the website: 

    1. Select event
    2. Click on Sign in
    3. Enter email and password in the pop-up box
    4. A pre-populated booking form will appear: check and amend details
    5. Click ‘register’
