Among the speakers are: Isabel Bennett of Músaem Chorca Dhuibhne who will talk about putting her museum on Facebook while Catherine McGuiness of the National Museum of Ireland - Natural History will look at handling collections and the museum's new Discovery Carts. Linda McKenna of Down County Museum will give a presentation on their literacy and sport education programme while Theresa Loftus of Monaghan County Museum will share her experiences running multicultural educational events. The Butler Gallery will be telling us about their National Drawing Day programme, Sarah Gillespie of Galway City Museum and Marie Therese Schulze of Limerick City Art Gallery will also talk about education programmes in their institutions.
The day will also feature a workshop on creating and using handling collections.
