Museum Practitioners' Forum - 'Blow Your Own Trumpet' is the annual opportunity to hear from others in the Irish museums community about what they have done during the last year, sharing experience and engaging with others working in museums, galleries and cultural institutions.

Among the speakers are: Isabel Bennett of Músaem Chorca Dhuibhne who will talk about putting her museum on Facebook while Catherine McGuiness of the National Museum of Ireland - Natural History will look at handling collections and the museum's new Discovery Carts. Linda McKenna of Down County Museum will give a presentation on their literacy and sport education programme while Theresa Loftus of Monaghan County Museum will share her experiences running multicultural educational events. Etaoin Holohan on behalf of the Butler Gallery will be telling us about their National Drawing Day programme, Brina Casey of the National Gallery will talk about working with the National Institute for Intellectual Disability and Marie Therese Schulze of Limerick City Art Gallery will present a piece on a partnership she was involved in which saw student teachers working with contemporary artists.
