Director of National Museum of Ireland Retires

The retirement has been announced of Dr Patrick F. Wallace from the National Museum of Ireland. One of over 7,000 public servants to retire by a deadline of 31 February as part of an exercise in reducing numbers and wage costs across the public sector in Ireland.

Director of National Gallery of Ireland Retires

Outgoing Director of the National Gallery of Ireland, Raymond Keaveney, retired on 11 January 2012, after 33 years in office and 23 years as director. The recently appointed Director of the Gallery, Sean Rainbird, will take up his post in mid-April.

Indoor Air Quality in Heritage and Historic Environments is holding a conference on "Standards and Guidelines" hosted by the University College London, Centre for Sustainable Heritage on 17-20 June 2012 in UCL, London. Their call for papers has been issued with a deadline of 5 January.
