Museum in Limerick Needs Volunteers (Appeal)

Posted: Thursday, 16 October 2014

A community group in South County Limerick is eager to carry out an assessment of a small museum building and the artefacts it contains; with a particular focus on developing an artefact conservation plan and a plan for marketing of the museum and development of the museum experience. There may also be an opportunity to carry out conservation work on artefacts.

The museum has funding issues and is currently dependant on work placement participants to remain open. This is an ideal opportunity for Museum Studies or Artefact Conservation graduates or students to gain valuable volunteer experience while at the same time assisting this museum at a critical stage in its development.
