The Irish Museums Association would like to invite Members, prospective members and guests to visit Carlow on our upcoming Annual Field Trip. This year, the IMA Field Trip will take place on Saturday 1 June. We will be taking a tour throughout Carlow's history, visiting the recently developed premises of Carlow County Museum; Carlow Cathedral; Carlow College, who house the Carlow Art Collection; VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art and The George Bernard Shaw Theatre, a multi-disciplinary arts facility; and Duckett's Grove, an impressive ruined mansion and gothic revival castle, with two superb interconnecting walled gardens.
The IMA will provide transport from Dublin to Carlow departing from the National Concert Hall at 10am and returning at 6pm. Fee €20
Please note that, as with all IMA events, numbers are limited (with priority given to IMA members) and booking is essential.
