An International Conference of the LEM partnership will be held in Manchester on 24 May 2013, during Adult Learners' Week. The theme will be ‘Adult Learning: making a difference through partnership'.
In the context of the current European funding, the role and place of museums and formal and informal learning providers is in flux. This conference will explore how new partnerships between cultural venues, health authorities, economic regeneration and formal learning providers can be a model to raise the quality of adult learning provision and sustainability.
The conference will include key note speakers on the EU Agenda for Adult Learning and case studies on partnership working between museums, the health sector, city authorities, economic regenerators and charities that have made an impact in adult learning.
