Museum Exhibitions - from ideas to opening (IMA Annual Conference 2010)

In 2010 The Annual Conference will take place in Killarney on the theme of 'Museum Exhibitions - from ideas to opening' and will cover the theory and practice behind exhibitions, audiences, content, touring and buildings. Speakers will include Dr Peter Crowther (Ulster Museum), Professor Fintan Cullen (Nottingham University), Andy Horn (Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery), Lar Joye (National Museum of Ireland), Paul Martinovich (Blue Sky Design, Toronto), Anne Scroope (Scroope Design, Cork), Gemma Tipton (Art and Architecture Writer, Dublin) and  Wendy Williams (Wendy Williams Design, Dublin). The conference will be opened formally on Saturday 27 February by Dr Martin Mansergh TD, Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism with special responsibility for the Arts.

Friday will include Member's Papers, Practical Sessions and a reception; Saturday will be the main day for talks, followed by a reception and conference dinner; Sunday starts with the AGM and is followed by a visit to the award winning Muckross House. To find out more information, click here.
