Two Irish Museums win at Irish Tourism Awards 2019 (Awards)

Two Irish museums were recognised with awards at the Irish Tourism Awards 2019: The Little Museum of Dublin won in the 'Best Dublin Tourism Experience: over 100,000 visitors', with EPIC: The Museum of Irish Emigration winning the 'Best Entrepreneurial Tourism Innovation' category at a ceremony in Dublin on 1 February 2019.

The Awards, organised by the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC), Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland, annonuced the 15 winning companies as best in their category from 75 shortlisted finalists.

The Irish Tourism Industry Awards give recognition to and promote people, companies and organisations - overseas and at home - that have made significant contributions to developing, marketing, selling and delivering improved visitor experiences in Ireland and to increasing the number of visitors from overseas.

In Particular, the Irish Tourism Industry Awards aim to:

Publicly recognise and reward excellence
Provide a benchmark for best practice
Encourage the continuous raising of standards
Provide better visitor experiences
Emphasise the value of the tourism sector
Promote a bienniel platform of celebration
Provide networking opportunities for operators and supporters
