A partnership project between the NLI, the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Bank of Ireland, 'Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again" exhibition was launched by President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins today, Wednesday 4 July 2018.

It will open to the public on Friday, 6th July 2018, at the Bank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre on College Green (entrance via Westmoreland Street) and will run for the next three years.

The exhibition draws on the National Library's extensive archive of Heaney documents and will feature Heaney's original manuscripts as well as letters, unpublished works, diary entries, photographs, note books and multi-media recordings. It will be the first exhibition to be housed in the new Bank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre within Bank of Ireland's College Green complex. Curated by Director of Irish Studies at Emory University, Geraldine Higgins, working closely with the Heaney family, and designed by Ralph Appelbaum and Associates.

The new Bank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre at the Bank of Ireland on College Green is a partnership between Bank of Ireland and Department of Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht. Bank of Ireland has generously made the space available for this centre to the State for a ten year period. The Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will manage and animate the space for this period. Listen, Now, Again - the first exhibition, is being run and curated by the National Library of Ireland.

The new Cultural and Heritage Centre will be open to the public from this Friday (6th July) and can be accessed by the public via the Gandon-designed entrance to the College Green buildings on Westmoreland Street. This is the first time in ten years that these doors will have been open to the public.
