Dr Muiris O'Ceidigh is the founding Chief Executive of the National Milk Agency and has extensive experience of public management and regulation.
He holds a BA and LLB in law and sociology from NUIG, an MBA from Trinity College, an MSc (Economics) (Public Policy) from TCD, an MA in Public Management from the Institute of Public Administration and a Doctorate in Governance from QUB. Muiris is an associate faculty member of the National College of Ireland and a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Training and Development. He serves on the board of An Taisce -the National Trust for Ireland; D8-CEC (Dublin 8 Community Education Centre); the Property Services Regulatory Authority; and the Medical Scientists Registration Board. He has previously held board positions on the Economic Research Institute of Northern Ireland (appointed by UK Gov) and Cooperative Housing Ireland.
Muiris is a published poet and was recipient of the Francis Ledwidge International Poetry Prize in 2003. Co-opted to the board of directors of the IMA in January 2018, he was elected company secretary in April 2018.
