There are four categories of membership available:

Individual membership at the standard rate. This applies to most members of the IMA.

Individual membership at a concessionary rate for unwaged, students and those on low incomes.

Group membership with 15% discount on each Individual Membership for six or more individuals joining at one time from a single institution.

You will also be able to place a free half-page advertisement in Museum Ireland in addition to knowing that you are supporting the IMA in its work to improve museum practice in Ireland.

As a member of the IMA, you will receive:

• The twice-yearly IMA Newsletter, updating you on events and developments in the Irish museum world



• The annual journal Museum Ireland, published in autumn, containing information, review articles, and critical discussion pieces on issues of interest or concern to those working in Irish museums



• Information on the annual conference and the entitlement to attend at reduced membership rates



• Information on other special events organised by the IMA, including training courses and occasional lectures



• Email notification of news and events



• Networking opportunities to meet with people involved in the museum sector throughout Ireland, and through our seminar, training courses and occasional lectures, with professionals from abroad
