Historic Royal Palaces are seeking to appoint a temporary (6 months with a possible extension to 12 months), full-time Learning Producer: Adults and Communities at Hillsborough Castle & Gardens. Salary: Circa £34,163 p.a. The closing date for receipt of applications is 24th February 2019.

Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is an independent, self-funded charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and, Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.

HRP is embarking on an exciting project - we're opening the doors of Hillsborough Castle & Gardens for everyone to explore the stories of this extraordinary place, and take part in its future. Central to realising this project is the development and delivery of public engagement (PE) programmes designed to sensitively engage a diverse range of audiences with the castle and its gardens in ways previously unimagined.

With your expertise in learning/engagement for adult, special interest groups and community audiences in the arts/heritage field, you will devise, deliver and manage imaginative programmes, projects, events and activities. These will be inclusive and meet the needs and interests of informal and formal adult audiences on-site, off-site and online. In order to do this you will need to take an audience-focused approach to developing distinctive and high quality content that delights, surprises and engages participants with the site's history and horticulture as well as contemporary subjects.

You will have excellent organisational, project, event and budget management skills with the ability to plan and deliver multiple activities. For this, you'll need to have exceptional communication and people skills, be degree educated and have knowledge and experience of formal/informal learning and community engagement in NI.

If you think you have the enthusiasm, skills and experience to join a team that delivers exceptional programmes, we would love to hear from you.
