The Butler Gallery is seeking to appoint a Full-time, (2-year contract) Development Manager. Salary: €50,000 (FTE). The closing Date for receipt of applications is 5pm on Thursday, 24th January 2019.
The Butler Gallery is one of Ireland's most vibrant contemporary art spaces and has made significant contributions to the contemporary visual arts since its establishment in 1943. Its policy and programme are committed to exhibiting the work of Irish and emerging artists along with highlighting major international artists, when possible. The Butler houses an important collection of Irish and international art dating from the 1800s, which they are committed to safeguarding for the future. Its vibrant education and community outreach programme has significantly contributed to audience development and raising awareness of the gallery in all sectors of the community at local and national levels.
The Butler Gallery is seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and highly motivated fundraising professional to develop and manage donor relations, partnership engagement and the Capital Fundraising Campaign for its new building, Evan's Home.
This is an initial two year contract as part of the Arts Council RAISE programme, however, there may be an opportunity for longer term employment thereafter. Also, please note that while this is a full-time role, there is potential for a flexible working arrangement for the right candidate.
The Development Manager will play a vital role enhancing the Gallery's impact and will be responsible for generating new sources of funds as well as enhancing the systems and infrastructure required to meet fundraising targets.
