The Department of Communities are seeking to appoint a permanent, full-time Higher Photographic Officer in the Heritage Records and Designation Branch (HRDB) branch. The deadline for receipt of applications is the 26 January 2018.
The post holder will be the only professional photographer withing HED, catering for the photographic needs of the Division, and providing necessary specialist and technical skills and advice. The main role is recording and promotion of the historic environment by undertaking photographic assignments, typically involving the production and processing and of photographic and measured photographic surveys of historic monuments, buildings and archaelogical sites and landscapes.
The imagery contributes to the management and protection of the historic environment and to the public's understanding and appreciation of it. The post holder will disseminate photographic records and results to customers. They will offer advice on the acquisition of photographic equipment and software and carry out its maintenance thereafter.
Location: The post holder will be based at Causeway Exchange, 1-7 Bedford Street, Belfast, BT2 7EG
Salary: Salary will be within the range £29,317 - £31,446 withing which pay progression will be performance related.
Hours of work: Normal hours of work are full-time (37 hours per week)
